Self-Portraits

The following portraits portray the 'quirky' personality that I believe I have. Though they are not perfect, much like me they all have things that can be fixed, blended a little better. I like this project because it's an interesting way to be able to express yourself. Many of these photos are random taken in the oddest places I could think of, the garage, under the dining room table, and the kitchen. Through these edited pictures you get to see a little of me!

EXTRA PORTRAITS

some more of my trails with the portraits of my sister:

Portraits of my sister

Who: Yasmeen, my older sister
Where: At Out of This World Pizza
When: 10/26/11
Why: I choose my sister because she is someone i spend a lot of time with, her personality is unique, as well as her sense of humor. I picked her picture because i though they would uniquely be portrayed in all these different types of processes.

Beauty.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i think beauty in photography is the power to convey a powerful message through the simple use of lights, contrasts, and subjects. The characteristics of beauty in photos are lights, and tone. the tone of the photo and edits tend to create a mood that helps convey to the viewer. For example, when Mr. Hohman showed us the pictures of feces his students took, i realized that anything can become transformed into a beauty if viewed in the right way.

Halloween!

It's almost Halloween which means...pumpkins! Well, this isn't your ideal pumpkin BUT this was a fun way to celebrate Halloweem and learn the further uses of photoshop, enjoy this very angry "pumpkin"!
very angry pumpkin, im guessing it's the awful facial hair that makes it moody.

Alphabet Assignment

We were assigned to collect pictures of things that resemble the letters of the alphabet, that is when we were given a curve ball and were told to make a phrase out of the jumbled collection. After much though, and help from the internet of course, I made the phrase "Hold On' out of the mess of letters/shapes. I picked this phrase to help convey the outlook I keep on life.

Web Assignment #4

Alfred Stieglitz: An American photographer, he promoted modern art
He is know in history for introducing the U.S. to new concepts and ideas worth perusing  he aslo introducing a lot of European artists

Old & New New York
This photo caught my eye because of the variety of shades of black, many shaded of white, grey, and black help highlight the environment as well as cause emphasis on the buildings.

Alfred was in a relationship with Georgia O"Keeffee. Georgia was a painter, born in Wisconsin she gained recognition in New York in 1916 for her magnified paintings (she painted paintings as if they were seen though a microscope).
This painting of hers was very eye-catching due to the vibrant colors and the mysterious shape

Macro Project

For this Macro Project I decided to use my Art Seminar class as inspiration, though some are not necessarily from that class, most are. I played with the sparkle, the light, and the vast colors to help edit the picture. Using photoshop and playing with the saturation, hue, brightness, vibrance, and contrast I used what the pictures already had and made what was needed to be seen to stand out.
